Bio
I currently teach junior English and AP Literature and Composition at Vallivue High School in Caldwell, Idaho. Beyond teaching I am the department chair, I help with vertical alignment with advanced classes, and I work with the school's AVID site team. Before moving to Vallivue, I taught for nine years at Twin Falls High School, the same school I graduated from. In Twin Falls, I served on a variety of committees and taught sophomore English (honors and regular), journalism, AP Language and Composition, and I advised the newspaper, The Bruin News. I am also the newsletter editor and secretary for the Idaho Council of Teachers of English after having served as president and past president.
When not in the classroom, I'm usually tucked in the corner of a coffee shop with a book, at the movies, or taking in a musical or play.
